Our Story

2022

February

JLSPORT is growing:
Under the direction of Philip Mallow, JLSPORT now offers private rowing supplies for rowers in the online shop under rudershop.de .

At the same time, Kerstin Schilling takes over the new company
JL-Teams – the personal contact for team needs of rowing clubs throughout Europe.

2020

November/December

Oakley glasses can now be purchased in our shop.

September

Our sales platform for used boats goes online on rudershop.de.

August

The short-time work can be ended after 4 months - there were no redundancies.
On the contrary: We will be strengthened in marketing and sales by Luca Häußler.

Partnership with BONT Rowing. We now offer Ruderschuhe in the full range for every rower.

Sales start of the one-piece under the own brand JLSPORT.

April to July

Due to corona, all rowing clubs and boathouses were closed by the authorities.

We work in short-time work and partly in the home office.

Strengthening of the sales team by Thaddäus Geitner.

Partnership with AGAINST, the specialist for high-performanceRuderschuhe in competitive sports.

Start of distribution of used boats (platform for used boats worldwide).

From January 2019, we have further expanded our "Technology" division. With Jan Strempel, an absolute technology specialist comes on board.

We start the exclusive partnership with Active Tools from England.
From now on we carry among other things: Impact counter, helmsman box and Costal/Fitness Ruderschuhe.

2018

Through the partnership with DEE GmbH , we are expanding our range of one-piece and team-specific clothing.

November

CRAFT, the well-known premium manufacturer in water sports, becomes our partner.

The newly designed and optimized webshop goes to www.rudershop.de online.

The partnership with ATEX (Czech Republic) enables us to offer a further range of rowing-specific clothing with the highest customer specifications.

2017

July

In cooperation with Dr. Thomas Lange, the Olympic Rowing Champion in 1988 and 1992, the new generation of our Ruderschuhe is developed and goes on sale as edition "Thomas Lange".

In this context, ruderschuhe.com will be integrated into our website.

March

The new collection of hoodies and T-shirts by "Rowing Crew" is now on sale.

2016

November

Ms. Schilling becomes co-shareholder of JLSPORT.DE GmbH.

The stemming board plates designed, tested and produced by us are available for 7 boat brands:

BBG, Empacher, Filippi, MeinerEiner, Schellenbacher, Swift and WinTech.

January

New T-shirt and polo shirt designs from the "Rowing Crew" collection 2016 can be purchased in the shop and at regattas. 

2015

December

In 2015 we were on tour with our regatta stand and were looking forward to a total of 32 national and international events. 

The shipyard Max Schellenbacher offers our Ruderschuhe as optional initial equipment. 

November

Our new website "ruderschuhe.com"  goes online. Already 19 worldwide partners sell the shoes and the integrated blog always informs about all innovations.

October

Our new, permanent internship position will be filled by Ferdinand. Among other things, he is responsible for social media and breaks through the 1,000 "likes" in October – we like!

September

Ulrike Stingl joins our team. She can be found in sales and at many regattas as a contact person.

August

We are of the opinion that shoe plates with fixed attachments are not an optimal solution. That's why we now offer our shoe plate Model-B. It allows Ruderschuhe to be rotated individually on the plate and thus adjusted for each rower.

At the Universiade in Gwangju (South Korea) the German students win 1x gold, 2x silver and 2x bronze in our JL one-pieces.

April

Vega Réalisations (France) is the first shipyard to deliver all your new boats with the "Lago" rowing shoe as standard. The boat manufacturer MeinerEiner follows and equips its new skiffs also with the rowing shoe model "Lago".

Kerstin Schilling becomes the new Sales Manager at JLSPORT.DE.

2014

Stephan Fries enriches the team of JLSPORT.DE. Stephan is responsible for the booming webshop.

We are working on better equipment for rowers. The Ruderschuhe "Model Lago" are developed and the production of the shoes is set up.

The regatta season begins and JLSPORT.DE is at many events this year with a booth on site.

The second collection of the own streetwear label "Rowing Crew" is presented at regattas.

The team continues to grow, Karin Kramer supports Stefan Propach and supervises team orders.

Under the new streetwear label "Rowing Crew" we bring high-quality clothing for going ashore to the market. The sporty-fashionable collections are aimed at rowers and rowing fans who want to express their passion in everyday life.

Customers from Switzerland are now looked after by Julia Schilling (Basel).

At the Rowing Bundesliga, the JLSPORT.DE works team will start again.

Change in shareholder structure – Michael Bauner takes over all company shares.

The cooperation with RONDO, the specialist for team clothing from Spain, begins.

Collections for cycling, dragon boat/canoe and other sports are now also available.

The Austrian national team will once again be competing in the national colours red & white – JL will supply the new clothing for juniors, U23 and elite.
